CHARLTON College has officially inducted its 2026 student leaders at the annual Badge Conferral ceremony.

The occasion held earlier this month recognised students stepping into key leadership roles across the school community.

Students, staff and families gathered for the occasion, united in a shared sense of pride and celebration.

The ceremony began with the induction of the College’s Senior School Captains, Sarah Blair and Maggie Riley, along with Junior School Captains Alodia Acantilado and Cody Jenkyn.

Principal Craig Kelly highlighted the significance of their roles as ambassadors for the school,

“[It is about] bridging the gap between students and staff while promoting the College’s values, spirit and unity,” he said.

In response, the captains expressed their enthusiasm for representing the student body,

“[We look forward to] organising events and leading assemblies, while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture,” they said.

A special moment in the ceremony saw the new foundation students formally welcomed to the College by their Year 12 buddies.

The House captains were inducted by Senior Sports co-ordinator Rhys Thompson.

Assistant principal Kim Fitzpatrick inducted the members of the Student Leadership Council (SLC).

Year 12 students were also presented with their badges by 10–12 co-ordinator Meaghan King, marking their final year of schooling and recognising their important leadership role within the College.

The ceremony concluded with the College Captains wishing all in attendance an enjoyable and successful year ahead.
