Of the people, for the people?
LIBERAL MP Bev McArthur tells us that this Labour State Government has forced an eleventh hour amendment through Parliament actually giving the power companies the ability to compulsory acquire farmer’s land for these terrible transmission lines.
YES THIS IS WHAT OUR GOVERNING BODY HAS DONE!
What sort of government do we have here?
To me it closely resembles socialism or even communism!
As a student many years ago we were taught and - I’ve said it before - in a democracy the politicians are supposed to be’ BY the people, OF the people, but most importantly FOR the people’.
What the Allan government is doing is that they are actually riding ‘roughshod’ over ALL rural people living in this once vibrant state, especially those of us who are still living on our land!
Most farms are now run by third, fourth or fifth generations and it’s OUR LAND.
So how can a government of any political persuasion do such a disgusting act?
It beggars belief! I never thought I’d see the day!

This Easter is not about having everything figured out, it’s about coming together, sharing in hope, and encountering a message that has the power to renew, restore and give you freedom. Please know our doors are always open. Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus in action, doing all we can to give support, compassion, and connection to anyone who needs it.
Whether it is through one of our local community programs, sharing a cuppa and listening ear, or simply connecting with us in a safe space, we are here to walk alongside you.
The freedom Jesus came to bring is not reserved for a select few. It is for all who seek it. And in that freedom, there is the hope for new beginnings, renewed strength and joy for the future.
